Ecologist and PhD Researcher, Department of Landscape, University of Sheffield
I'm an interdisciplinary ecologist/researcher with experience in both terrestrial and marine environments. My current research interests centre around three topics:

1. The environment-microbiome-health axis: investigating the relationship between microbial communities, the health of humans (noncommunicable and infectious diseases) and the wider environment
2. Remote sensing: using innovative technology to acquire and analyse remote data, particularly for ecological restoration and biodiversity conservation
3. Applying nature-based/ecoSystems Thinking to investigate integrative strategies for ecosystem health

In 2017, I was awarded the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) White Rose Doctoral Scholarship and joined the Department of Landscape at the University of Sheffield as a PhD Researcher. Our research combines ecology (microbiomics), public health (noncommunicable and infectious diseases) and social research, focusing on nature-based health interventions and the environment-microbiome-health axis.
